Your thermostat must be registered with Honeywell Total Connect Comfort as the outdoor temperature is derived from the Internet.
Know the current date "What is today's date" Date as set on your thermostat
Know the current time "What is the time" Time as set on your thermostat

Start a scheduled temperature change (i.e. period) now. "I'm awake."
"I'm leaving."
"I'm home."
"I'm going to sleep."
For example, if you go to sleep before the Sleep periods begins, the thermostat will change the temperature to your Sleep setting, and it will stay in that setting until you change the temperature, or until the next period on your schedule begins.

Important Reminder: If you want to make these types of changes, your thermostat must be following a schedule.

Also, if it's on permanent or vacation hold, you will need to turn off the hold to execute schedule period change commands.

Once you make one of these kinds of changes, your thermostat stays at your desired scheduled temperature until the next scheduled period begins.
