Do I need to use all the wires coming out of the wall for my Lyric?

You will only need to use the wires that were connected to the old thermostat. If you have any extra wires that were not connected to the old thermostat you will not need to connect them to your new Lyric thermostat. If your wires aren't currently connected to any terminals and you need to relabel them, you can trace the wires back to the heating or cooling equipment. That will allow you to determine the function of each wire within the system and then attach it to the appropriate terminal on your Lyric thermostat.
