Honeywell Home Security Kit – End of Support

Resideo will be ending the support for the Honeywell Home Smart Security Kit in the Resideo App on October 31, 2024.
Please see below some of the frequently asked questions.

Q: Why are we ending support?
A: The Smart Home Security system uses a cyber security certificate that was created and maintained by Honeywell. Honeywell, an independent company from Resideo, made the decision to not renew this certificate and it will expire on October 31, 2024.

Q: What to expect after October 31, 2024?
A: Your Honeywell Home Security base station will stop communicating.
You won't be able to use the device in your Resideo Home App and all the device functionalities will stop working.
Any accessory devices connected to the Honeywell Home Security Base Station such as contact sensors and keyfobs will also stop responding.

Q: What are the alternatives?
An Indoor Camera (First Alert Indoor Camera VX5) will be launching in late August, 2024.
This camera will be the closest alternative available from Resideo.

Q: Will this alternative option fully replace Honeywell Home Security Kit?
A: No, the new indoor camera is not a full replacement for your Honeywell Home Security kit. Unlike Honeywell Home Security Base station, it does not have arming/disarming functionality. Also, you won't be able to add contact sensors or keyfob sensors on this indoor camera.

Q: Where and when will the new Indoor camera available?
A: The new camera will be available through our distributor channels starting late August 2024. Please reach out to a local Resideo Dealer if you are interested in purchasing the camera. You can find the Resideo Dealers serving in your region here: https://www.resideo.com/us/en/find-a-pro/

Q: Which App will be needed to use the new camera?
A: You will need TC2.0 App. In the coming months this camera will also work with First Alert App.

Q: What happens to my Honeywell Home Membership Service I have attached on this device?
A: The Honeywell Home Membership service on your Honeywell Home Security Kit will be cancelled on October 31, 2024. If you have an active subscription, you will receive a refund of your last payment.

Q: What are the options to continue using my auxiliary sensors?
A: Your sensors will continue to work with any other Z-wave compatible hub.
