Check your wire.

  • If you have a wire in either the R or RC terminal and no wire in the other terminal (R or RC), insert the jumper wire. If you have a wire in the R terminal and a wire in the RC terminal, remove the jumper wire. *One wire? Jumper goes in. Two Wires? Take the jumper out.*
  • If you have a wire in the RC terminal and no wire in the R terminal, insert the jumper wire. If you have a wire in the R terminal and a wire in the Rc terminal, remove the jumper wire.

Check your configuration (referred to as the ISU [Installer Set Up]) using the user manual or installer manual.

  • Verify you have entered the correct System Type. For Heat pump systems, most commonly, O/B is energized in Cooling (O on cool). For Rheem or Ruud brand heat pumps, the O/B must energize on heating (B on Heat).
