The Lyric thermostat is designed to be used with WiFi. Its unique features, such as geofencing, scheduled temperature adjustments, Fine Tune climate control and more, all require the Lyric app. You will also be unable to benefit from updates to the Lyric's software.
If you do not have WiFi in your home, you can use the Lyric as a manual thermostat by turning the dial to adjust the temperature.
